Hardly Strictly Bluegrass: Elvis, Emmylou, Del, Conor, Yonder, Umphrey’s and More

Del and The Boys are among the many acts set to perform

The 10th annual Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival will return to San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park from October 1-3. As ever this is a free event, funded by billionaire investment banker Warren Hellman who plays some claw hammer banjo. The stacked line-up includes: Elvis Costello and the Sugarcanes, The Del McCoury Band, Yonder Mountain String Band, The Avett Brothers, Umphrey’s McGee, Emmylou Harris, Hot Tuna Electric, Railroad Earth, Earl Scruggs, Ralph Stanley & the Clinch Mountain Boys, Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band, T Bone Burnett and Friends, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Martin Sexton, The Felice Brothers, Richard Thompson, Gillian Welch, Jackie Greene, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Steve Earle and the Dukes, Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, Moonalice, Joan Baez, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Bonnie Prince Billy and the Cairo Gang, Patti Smith, Nick Lowe, Rosanne Cash and many more.

The daily schedules have yet to be announced but the full line-up is available at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass site.
