Mavis Staples and Jeff Tweedy Explain You Are Not Alone

On September 14, Anti- will release the latest studio recording from Mavis Staples. Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy produced You Are Not Alone and also wrote the title track. Anti- has just released the above video in which the pair discuss their work on the new disc. The two may collaborate in the live setting as well later this month as Staples will perform at Lollapalooza in Tweedy’s hometown of Chicago this Friday August 6 and then she will perform at the Wilco-curated Solid Sound Festival in North Adams, MA on August 14.

An in-depth look at Mavis Staples and Jeff Tweedy’s efforts on You Are Not Alone, will appear in the next issue of Relix.
