Michael Franti’s Power to the Peaceful Festival Returns

The 12th Annual Power to the Peaceful Festival will return to San Francisco on September 10-12. Michael Franti will host the event which will kick off on the evening of September 10 at The Fillmore with the Power to the Peaceful Pre-Party. That evening will include an acoustic performance by Franti of the material on his new album, The Sound of Sunshine. The event then moves to Speedway Meadow in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park on Saturday the 11th. There, after 1,000 Yogis for Peace’s morning yoga practice, music will kick off on the main stage, with sets from Michael Franti & Spearhead, Rebelution and Rupa & The April Fishes. That night will then see the action return to the Fillmore where Franti will perform with special guests as The Rocking Heads, interpreting the music of the Talking Heads.
