Jam Cruise 9: Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart, Robert Randolph, God Street Wine and Many More

Bob Weir, Rob Wasserman, & Jane Lane are Scaring the Children, The Rhythm Devils feat. Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Galactic, The Greyboy Allstars, God Street Wine and Stockholm Syndrome are among the acts scheduled to appear on Jam Cruise 9. The traveling festival will sail on the MSC Poesia from January 4-9, 2011 and will also feature Lotus, JoJo’s Mardi Gras Band, ALO, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, Easy Star All-Stars, Lettuce, Garage A Trois, The New Mastersounds, Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars, Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears and Anders Osborne (who will perform with Stanton Moore & Robert Walter, as well as George Porter, Jr & Johnny Vidacovich).
The ship will depart from Ft. Lauderdale, FL and make stops in Roatan, Honduras and Costa Maya, Mexico. Other acts scheduled to appear include Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Cornmeal, Some Cat From Japan featuring Ron Johnson, Will Bernard, Scott Metzger, Eric Bolivar & Nigel Hall performing a tribute to Jimi Hendrix, Greensky Bluegrass, Big Gigantic, Zach Deputy and The Pimps Of Joytime.
Maceo Parker will lead a Super Jam, while Leo Nocentelli, Fred Wesley, Col. Bruce Hampton, Jennifer Hartswick and Big Chief Monk Boudreau will be the ship’s roving guest musicians. This is the first time any of the “core four” surviving members of the Grateful Dead have performed on Jam Cruise. Jam Cruise is also the recently reunited God Street Wine’s only confirmed date outside New York.
All remaining cabins will become available for sale to the public on June 2 at 12 noon ET at www.jamcruise.com.
