Rad Gumbo: A New Orleans All Star Tribute to Little Feat
A number of musicians will play a benefit concert for Little Feat drummer Richie Hayward at New Orleans’ Howlin’ Wolf on April 27. As previously reported, Hayward was diagnosed with severe liver disease and is currently off the road. Rad Gumbo: A New Orleans All Star Tribute to Little Feat will bring together members of Little Feat (Paul Barrere, Fred Tackett and Kenny Gradney), Anders Osborne, John “Papa” Gros, Billy Iuso, Eric Boilvar, Dave Malone, Sonny Landreth and a variety of special guests. In addition, Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett of Little Feat will open the show with a special set of music. Little Feat will perform next at Wilkesboro, NC’s MerleFest on April 30.
