New Mastersounds, Acoustic Syndicate and The Afromotive Confirmed for Asheville Earth Day

The 3rd annual Asheville Earth Day celebration will take place on Saturday, April 17. The free event, which is organized by Greenlife Grocery and AMJam Productions, will once again be held at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park in Downtown Asheville, NC. In addition to a variety of speakers and activism leaders, the event will feature performances by The New Mastersounds, Acoustic Syndicate, The Afromotive, Salvador Santana, Pond Farm Pickers and The Shane Pruitt Band, among others.

Asheville Earth Day will also boast a Kid’s Village, where children can interact and take part in a “recycled” art project, and a variety of local venders. The event’s opening ceremony will feature a kid’s march led by the celebration’s Earth Day emcee. Asheville Earth Day will also feature environmentally conscious businesses and organizations from around in the educational Eco-Village.

The event will run from 11 AM-10 PM. Official Earth Day After-Parties are set to take place after the park festivities: members of Acoustic Syndicate and Pond Farm Pickers will lead an All-Star jam at Stella Blue, while The New Mastersounds will perform at Club 828.
