Tom Petty To Offer Free Album Download With Ticket Purchase

The first new studio album from Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers in over eight years is set for a spring release. The group will support Mojo with a tour that will open on May 6 in Raleigh, NC and continue through the summer. Tickets will go on sale starting Monday March 8 and anyone who purchases them online will receive an MP3 download of Mojo. The first two tracks will be available soon after ticket purchase, with the remainder coming upon the release date of the disc. Petty has enlisted some notable support for his 2010 North American tour with My Morning Jacket, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Drive-By Truckers, Joe Cocker and ZZ Top signed on for various dates.
