Dylan to Play the White House

Bob Dylan will perform at the White House for the first time next month. The Bard is one of several musicians the Obamas have invited to perform at February 5’s I“n Performance At The White House: A Celebration Of Music From The Civil Rights Movement” event. Dylan will join the likes of Smokey Robinson, John Mellencamp, Blind Boys of Alabama, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Seal and Natalie Cole by performing songs from the Civil Rights Movement at the celebration. Morgan Freeman and Queen Latifah will host the evening.
The concert will be televised on February 11 at 8:00 PM ET on public broadcasting stations nationwide, and NPR will also produce a one-hour concert special from this event for broadcast nationwide on NPR Member stations throughout the month of February, beginning February 12. The special will also be available online.
