Furthur And Friends To Celebrate Phil Lesh’s 70th Birthday

Phillip Chapman Lesh was born on March 15, 1940 in Berkeley, California. On Friday March 12, his current bandmates in Furthur will celebrate his 70th birthday. The show, set to take place at the Bill Graham Civic Center, will support the Unbroken Chain Foundation, which in turn will direct proceeds to Haitian Earthquake Relief. The night is billed as a performance by Furthur & Friends, who will deliver “a rare important musical performance in celebration of Phil Lesh’s 70th Birthday.” The GDTS Too mail order starts on Saturday morning, while a MusicToday online is set for Monday the 18th at 9 AM PT. The general public onsale will follow on Friday the 22nd at 10AM PT.
