Rob Wasserman to Join RatDog in Jamaica

Bassist Rob Wasserman will temporarily rejoin Bob Weir & RatDog for the RatDog Daze event in Negril, Jamaica. RatDog bassist Robin Sylvester is unable to attend the event due to medical reasons. No other details are available at this time. In a statement the band said, “The entire Bob Weir & RatDog family wishes Robin a speedy recovery.”

Wasserman played bass in RatDog from the group’s inception in 1995 until 2002. He has played in a trio setting with Weir and RatDog drummer Jay Lane in recent years. RatDog Daze will begin on January 23.
