Dave Matthews: Europe 2009 and Europe 2010

Dave Matthews Band is making waves overseas, as it toured Europe during the summer of 2009 in support of the Grammy nominated Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King. Now, the group is set to release Europe 2009, a box set including three CDs and a DVD from its recent tour of the continent. The three-CD set entitled Live From Lucca was recorded in Lucca, Italy on July 5 and documents one of DMBs longest performances in its nearly 20-year history. Accompanying the CDs is a 24-chapter DVD of the band’s July 26 gig at the historic and intimate Brixton Academy in South London. Entitled Dave Matthews Band: Across the Pond, the DVD features high-definition video of performances of classics like “Crash Into Me“ and ”#41“ along with fan favorites off Big Whiskey like “Shake Me Like a Monkey“ and “Alligator Pie.“ The Europe 2009 box set also includes an exclusive C. Taylor Crothers photo book chronicling the group’s stay overseas.
As Europe 2009 is set for a Dec. 22 release on RCA records, the band is scheduled for another European tour that kicks off in Stockholm, Sweeden on Feb. 13, 2010 and is set to wrap up at the O2 Academy in Birmingham, England on March 13, 2010.
