Umphrey’s McGee Highlight Suwannee Hulaween Pre-Party

October 28, 2016

Suwannee Hulaween kicked off last night with a pre-party highlighted by Umphrey’s McGe, who will also perform again tonight in Live Oak, FL as the official festivities get going.

Last night, however, the band highlighted their two-set show with a lot of older material including an opening “Rocker II” as well as “Blue Echo,” “Resolution,” “Wife Soup,” “Nothing Too Fancy” and “Ocean Billy,” among others. The decidedly old school set was capped by one of the band’s earliest tunes, “Slacker,” coupled with the soaring finale of “Ocean Billy.” Of course, the band did pepper in some new material, dipping into Similar Skin‘s “No Diablo” as well as the newer “Speak Up” and a lone cover of David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance.”

Elsewhere on the grounds, the members of Umphrey’s made their presence felt as Jake Cinninger joined EOTO during their set earlier in the day. Break Science’s Borahm Lee also helped the String Cheese drummers during their set as well.
