Boston Calling Announces 2017 Lineup

January 12, 2017

Boston Calling Music Festival has revealed its lineup for this year’s event, which will take place at its new venue, the Harvard Athletic Complex, on May 26–28 with headliners Tool, Mumford & Sons and Chance the Rapper. The festival marks the second headlining slot for Tool after New York’s Governors Ball and just the second announced show of 2017 for the band.

Also included in the initial lineup are Bon Iver, The xx, Major Lazer, Weezer, The 1975, Cage the Elephant, Brandi Carlile, Sigur Rós, Solange, Mac DeMarco, Wolf Parade, Sylvan Esso, Frightened Rabbit, Modern Baseball, Car Seat Headrest, Whitney, Hiss Golden Messenger, Kevin Morby and more. The lineup was once again curated by The National’s Aaron Dessner. There will also be a film portion of the festival, curated by actress Natalie Portman.

“We are incredibly excited about this year’s edition of Boston Calling,” Dessner says. “Moving to our new location has allowed us to expand the programming of the festival to include many more of my favorite artists from different corners of the music world. We can’t wait for May.”
