Those hosts are such dicks. Nice job Trey, those buffoons have no idea who you are or what you do.

First off Joe is a tool and out of touch. Second Trey didnt know how to answer the question so it sounded to me more of a “Gee Joe after all of this I just did with the play I am now going to just write an album now, starting tomorrow.

This interview is plagued with awful, over-used hippie stereotypes. Aside from that, Trey has always said he’s continuously working on music. What he decides to use for the next Phish album I’m sure is long from being decided. Sounds like they’re ready to do some recording though before hitting the road this summer so that’s promising!

The CBS Sunday Morning interview at the beginning of the month was great. This totally sucked. Not only did they come across as simplifying what Phish does and almost wondered whether Trey was capable of taking on such a project, the stereotyping was awful. Had they stuck with discussing the play, it might have been a little less painful.

Wow, that was hard to watch…it’s like all of the inspired artists (all 3: Amanda, Doug, Trey) just got slowly worn down…it’s almost like the interviewer thought the whole “Phish band” was a cute little hobby and Trey finally made it after years of fledgling among the inferior hippie population…

Shaggy, Baggy…

These guys are funny. Trey plays with an orchestra, I think he knows about form. Plus, most of the best Phish is composed music.

Trey should have explained that early Phish was heavily composed, and very theatrical. Do your homework hosts!

Wow! Morning Joe couldn’t be more of pompous assholes than anyone else on television. They undermine Phish’s fanbase, degrade Trey’s ability to compose on a broadway musical, and bring up pharmaceutical problem..They DEFINITELY did NOT do their homework, obviously these pricks don’t know that Trey has composed music for symphonies, has a degree in music, or even realize the complexity of Phish’s music. I’m sure these reporters know all about diminished/augmented chords, modes, and polyrhythms.

Phish plus Morning Joe. Talk about mindless droning drivel from both ends of the spectrum. Too bad they didn’t simply cancel each other out.

The only thing that would have made this worse would be if it had been conducted by that trashy trailer queen, Nancy Grace.
