I’m not entirely sold on the “conflict of ineretst” because solicitorships are always patronage jobs. Well I have always been sold on the conflict of ineretst and as a result this is a very good move. You can not serve two masters, and I refuse to believe that Attorney McGrath’s work as solicitor was not at least impacted by his work as county Dem back-room boss. Given a conflict between the needs of the district and the needs of some party member, which choice would Attorney McGrath make? The fact that this question can even be asked in the first place points to a conflict of ineretst.Let’s not lose sight of the fact that the SSD has not exactly been a well oiled machine all these years. For example, SSD teachers took it on the chin years ago with regards to health care coverage (they actually do pay a lot for it unlike teachers in other districts) but yet I don’t see the benefits of these savings manifest in my taxes. What’s more, the SSD continues, in my opinion, to have a bloated administration.Someone on the board actually did something radical: they thought something through and made a non-political decision. Score!I can’t believe that I am saying this, but (gulp) I am actually PROUD of the Scranton School Board.- Steve

I managed to find one CDs worth of this elhrwseee…any chance of my acquiring these in the future? Would love to be informed of a repost. The original LP and Blows Against the Empire remain all-time faves for me since their release and it is only as of late I have become aware of the outtakes being circulated.ThanksDuncan Walls
