Uncle Tupelo on Late Night with Conan O’Brien "The Long Cut"

Wilco will perform on Conan tonight (for a listing of music acts set to appear on late night television, check out the Rocking The Box blog post on Jambands.com each Monday). Here’s a look back to 1994 when Jeff Tweedy and Jay Farrar brought Uncle Tupelo to Late Night with Conan O’Brien, shortly before the band’s break up.

Absolutely agree with you guys. That speceh made me tier up. Amazing words of inspiration from one of the most entertaining people in TV for the past 20 years. We’ll miss you Conan!

I was so happy that Conan was so positive in his final mmoents on the Tonight show. It shows true class, and cements him even further as one of my favourite writers. There’s a difference between being cynical and being sarcastic. Conan’s style of self deprecating humour was always funny and sarcastic never negative and cynical.I hope that people really do follow his advice, since I can attest that it really does work. I’d add that being genuine helps a lot too, but Conan nailed it!
