LCD Soundsystem’s Shut Up and Play the Hits Documentary Trailer

A new documentary is in the works about LCD Soundsystem’s final concert at New York City’s Madison Square Garden in April of last year. Entitled Shut Up and Play the Hits, the documentary is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 22nd. The film, directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, documents the final performance while also tracing the events leading up to it. You can watch the trailer below, which includes audio of the hit “All My Friends” from LCD’s final performance. According to the film’s website:

“‘Shut Up and Play the Hits’ is both a narrative film documenting this once in a life time performance and an intimate portrait of James Murphy as he navigates the lead-up to the show, the day after, and the personal and professional ramifications of his decision.“
