Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin and Phish’s Page McConnell at Pete’s Greens Benefit

On January 12, a fire destroyed the barn at Pete’s Greens a four-season organic vegetable farm in Craftsbury, Vermont. In order to help raise funds from the farm, which is run in part by Phish’s longtime “first fan” (and later employee) Amy Skelton, a benefit took place last night at Burlington Higher Ground. Here Governor Peter Shumlin introduces Page McConnell, who then sings lead on Stealers Wheel’s “Stuck in the Middle.”

Here’s some bonus Page as well during “Shakedown Street”

Great show last night. Glad to see so many people willing to help out. Vermont is a special place to live. Here are some photos from the show at Higher Ground. http://3rdstoneimages.blogspot.com/2011/02/hug-your-farmer.html
