Chris Barron, John Popper and The Fog Cutters: 27 Muscians in Maine (A Gallery and Videos)

On Friday night, rock legends Chris Barron (Spin Doctors) and John Popper (Blues Traveler) reunited for a much-anticipated set of gigs in Portland, Maine. These two shows were a part of the F.O.G. festival, an annual birthday benefit concert with proceeds benefiting the local Good Shepard Food Bank.

Backed by the uber talented Portland-based 25 piece big band The Fog Cutters, Barron and Popper came out of the gates with massive energy playing for an intimate crowd, ripping through Spin Doctors and Blues Traveler classics everyone was waiting for. They sounded as fantastic as ever.

The night drew on songs from both artists (videos of “Jimmy Olsen’s Blues” and “The Mountains Win Again” appear on the next page) and ended with a stellar performance of “Mumbles” by Barron, Popper and The Fog Cutters lyrical mastermind/vocalist and percussionist Chas Lester.
