George Porter Jr.‘s Birthday Bash (A Gallery)

Here’s a look back at George Porter Jr.‘s 65th birthday celebration at New Orleans’ Howlin’ Wolf on December 26. The night featured music from The Trio (Porter, Johnny Vidacovich and special guest Nicholas Payton), followed by a set from Porter, Papa Mali, Billy Iuso, Eddie Christmas and Tab Benoit. Finally Porter closed out the night with his Runnin’ Pardners band. Here are Jeffrey Dupuis’ images from the evening.
