Cyro Baptista’s Trey Anastasio Tour Diary (Part Two: Detroit)

Cyro Baptista will returned to the road with Trey Anastasio starting last night at The Fillmore in Detroit. Over the course of the tour he’ll be sharing a tour diary with photos. Here is the second stallment click here for part one…

Arrived in Detroit yesterday… Full day of rehearsals!!

We have over 60 songs in the arsenal for this tour. Hope I can remember them all!!

Now I move into my home for the next 2 weeks! Back on the bus! A lot of musicians are not crazy about this, but I love sleeping in the bus bunks! There is no sleep on the planet as good as the sleep you get on a moving tour bus! I’ve spent a lot of nights of my life on one of these!!

My Latin Percussion arsenal! My friends at LP are too good to me!! Also, check out the background for the stage!! Amazing!! I love it!! Maybe I try to get a picture of the whole stage tomorrow night! And of course the guy who holds it all together in the back – Russ!

People starting to fill this amazing old theatre!! They told me it was built in 1925. So beautiful!!

…I guess we weren’t the only party in Detroit tonight with the Tigers beating the Yanks….

Thanks for a great show last night, my wife and I enjoyed the 3 plus hours of wonderful music that kept our feet moving all night long! Itwas such a pleasure to watch the whole band jam together as one collective source of living energy. Enjoy the tour!

Thank you for keeping us up to date all on things Cyro!! Can’t wait for the Richmond, VA show, the National is a great theater as well, lots of history!! Really looking forward to hearing the album live, esp tunes such as Let Me Lie, Valentine, and Traveler, and of course the older ones! Safe Travels to All!!!
