HIThis is Jesse Lee. Just a small comment for the folks out there. The Idea for this witsebe came to me in 2003. So what is that just about 10 years? It all started when I began playing music and putting on some small shows in southern New Mexico. I contacted some bands for a motorcycle rally and wanted to get the word out. Face Book wasn’t invented yet and I wanted to create a social network to promote shows and bands. So I started asking musicians questions about tours and booking and all of the things that go into a great performance or tour. When I was speaking to a talent buyer or club owners I began to see some cross over. A long story short I decided to go and see for myself what it was really like out there on the road for a band or artist. So I would book some tours and go on the road with some bands that would have me. Recently divorced and retired from the business world I had time and a little money to tag along. After about 4 years of the road and hitting road block after roadblock regarding the witsebe. Such as I didn’t have $60,000 dollars to pay a web designer. All of my money was spent on hotels, rental cars, and paying the bands when the clubs didn’t. That sort of thing. I will say one thing I loved every bit of it. To hear live music almost everyday of the week, was an incredible experience. I wouldn’t have traded it for all the money in the world. But I still, after almost 10 years truly hope this witsebe will be an asset to the music world. We are growing and getting better everyday. We will always try to help music. Oh! one more thing before I go. YES, Roger Sanchez is the best damn web designer in the world as far as I am concerned. He is also one hell of a good guy for believing in this dream.JL
