Bowlive Night One

Soulive rolled into its second annual Bowlive event at Brooklyn Bowl last night. The group was joined by Maceo Parker, Nigel Hall and Lettuce for this show, which opened with Brooklyn Bowl owner / Relix publisher Peter Shapiro offering a tequila toast to the band. Shapiro reflected on an earlier Soulive gig in which he stood in front of the audience in a similar manner only to realize that most everyone in the crowd did not have a drink, so he kicked off Bowlive 2011 by handing out 600 shots of Tequila to those in attendance.
