Papa Grows Funk in Fairfield

With about the countdown underway to Mardi Gras, on February 3, Papa Grows Funk brought their New Orleans sound to StageOne in Fairfield, CT. The set combined PGF originals like “Rat A Tang Tang” and New Orleans staples such as the Meters “Hey Pocky Way”. Towards the end of their set Deep Banana Blackout’s Cyrus Madan and Rob Somerville sat in for two songs on sat in on organ and saxophone, respectively.
