In case you haven’t been hanging around the internet, the newest rumor is that Stevie Wonder can in fact see. The good people over at The Concourse (for you sports fans–Deadspin) published a variety of theories that I’ll let you read and decipher for yourselves, but basically the takeaway is that Wonder can see and people have thought this for a long time.

The evidence comes from the fact that Wonder loves to attend basketball games, orders an odd amount of plasma TV’s from ESPN personality Bomani Jones’ friend and that time he caught a falling microphone like anyone with adequate vision would be able to do.

Well, the rumor finally got back to Stevie. Last night in Philadelphia, during his tour celebrating the iconic Songs in the Key of Life record, Wonder addressed his Vision Truthers from the stage. He shook off the notion that he could see, but did (light heartedly) recommend people spread the rumor that his mother and manager conspired in 1967 to have him pretend to be blind.
