File this one under “covers you never expected to hear” as Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks dug into the Taylor Swift catalog for a special appearance on the family-oriented variety show You Who. The Portland outfit’s cover choice, Swift’s “Blank Space” from her 1989, is appropriate since they were performing in front of a crowd full of young people at the Crystal Ballroom.
