Watch: Ryan Adams and the Shining Let It Ride on Austin City Limits

January 22, 2015

On October 22, Ryan Adams and his band The Shining stopped in Austin to play the Moody Theater, a portion of which was taped for the Austin City Limits television show. The band rolled through a set heavy on material from Adams’ latest self-titled record and his back catalog as well as a cover of Bryan Adams’ “Run to You.”

While the show itself was 27-songs long, the hour-long broadcast will feature six songs including a pair of cuts from Adams’ latest self-titled record “Stay With Me” and “Shadows” as well as “When the Summer Ends” from his new punk-rock EP, Ashes & Fire‘s “Do I Wait,” Cold Roses‘ “Let It Ride” and the old Demolition track “Dear Chicago.” The broadcast will also include Jenny Lewis, who opened for most of the tour. The two collaborated on Jimmy Kimmel Live during their west coast swing as well.

Adams and Jenny Lewis’ Austin City Limits episode airs January 24 on PBS. Watch “Let It Ride” below. Adams hits the road again, this time in Europe, beginning February 19 in Brighton, England.
