Watch Phish Slow-Jam “Llama,” Debut Two Originals and Dig Deep on “Crosseyed”

Every Phish tour has that one show early on that serves as the kickstarter for the rest of the tour, and last night may have been it as the band closed down their Mann Center run in style with highlights galore.

It all started early on with the debut of a new song “Waking Up Dead” and a slow jam version of “Llama” that just might rival the original. The quarter then revived “Crosseyed and Painless” for the first time this tour to kick off the second set, delivering a sprawling, expansive 16-minute version that transitioned into the second new song of the night. The best news about this new song is that it wasn’t a horrible, terrible ballad but rather a driving tune led by Jon Fishman that opened itself up to some improv opportunities. A keeper, indeed.

Watch and listen below.
