Paul McCartney paid tribute to the late Prince in grand fashion at his first of two shows at the Target Center in Prince’s hometown of Minneapolis. The Beatle worked in a snippet of his own “Let’s Go Crazy” towards the end of the set, as Prince’s iconic symbol was projected onto the screen. Also at the end of the show, McCartney showered the crowd in purple confetti following “The End.”

“God bless this creative giant,” McCartney tweeted shortly after the news of Prince’s death broke. “Proud to have seen in the New Year with him. He seemed fine and played brilliantly funky music.”
