Watch moe. Team with Fishbone at Summer Camp for “Purple Rain”

The videos are beginning to roll in from Summer Camp and the first major one comes in the form of moe.’s tribute to Prince with the help of the slick LA funk-rock act Fishbone. Nodding to The Purple One with “Purple Rain” led by Fishbone, the cover was one of many played by the co-headliners on this evening as they also did Bowie’s “Fame” with Fishbone as well as “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” and “Making Flippy Floppy” with String Cheese Incident’s Kyle Hollingsworth.

Of those covers, “Fame,” “Purple Rain” and “Making Flippy Floppy” all served as moe. debuts. The following night, the band would debut a cover of Cream’s “White Room” and play “Baba O’Riley” with Allie Kral, so all in all a cover-heavy weekend for moe. at this year’s Summer Camp.
