Watch: Len Fishman Delivers Hilarious Induction Speech for Son

Last night in Syracuse, Jon Fishman received the Syracuse Area Music Awards’ highest honor as the drummer was given the Lifetime Achievement Award. While the night was about Jon, his father Dr. Len Fishman stole the show with his induction speech. It is the proudest you’ll ever hear a father utter the words “my son wears a dress.”
One of the highlights of the speech was a story about Fishman’s mother, Mimi Fishman, who Jon encouraged to join the band on stage to play the vacuum one night. Len’s description of the vacuum itself is humorous, as he says it “sounds like he farted.” Watch the induction speech below.
