We’re just about a month out from Dead & Company landing on stage in New York and John Mayer plans on broadcasting the “evolution” as he calls it via his Instagram. Today, Mayer shared a clip of him along with Bill Kreutzmann, Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, Jeff Chimenti and Oteil Burbridge rolling through a few sections of “Tennessee Jed,” complete with Mayer flashing a stellar in-the-moment grin, clearly enjoying himself in the role previously held by Trey Anastasio. 

“#DeadandCompany rehearsals have begun,” the guitarist wrote on his Instagram. “The evolution will be televised! (On Instagram.) A little Tennessee Jed for ya… This is some magical stuff we have going. Can’t wait to take it on the road.”
