With the news coming down Sunday night that Bono was in the hospital after injuring his arm in a cycling accident, The Tonight Show was left with no musical guests for the week. The Irish rockers were slated to spend the entire week promoting their new record, Songs of Innocence (which you already own), on the show.

As the saying goes, the show must go on, and go on it did last night as Jimmy Fallon donned Bono’s iconic glasses and hat combination for a performance of “Desire” alongside The Roots. Now, Jimmy is known for some spot-on impressions but mostly in a parody form. Here, it really feels like he’s going for a true Bono impersonation, and he nails it.

There is no word on who will perform tonight or for the rest of the week, but let’s hope this continues for the next four nights.
