Watch: Jack White Performs on _The Tonight Show_ and Visits with Weird Al Yankovic

What a day in Los Angeles for Jack White. First, he visited with Weird Al Yankovic for a cup of coffee almost 20 years in the making and then took to the stage on The Tonight Show as they wrapped up their own Los Angeles residency.

But, back to White and Weird Al. In an interview with The Daily Show correspondent Jordan Klepper prior to White’s massive Madison Square Garden gig, he was asked when he felt he “made it” as an artist. “When I have coffee with Weird Al Yankovic one day, that’s when I’ll know,” White said. “People say, ‘I know I’ve made it when Weird Al covers your song.’ That’s not true–you have to have coffee with him.”

Well, then it happened. So now Jack White has officially made it.

While the performance of “That Black Bat Licorice” to close The Tonight Show‘s Los Angeles residency didn’t feature a sit-in from Q-Tip, it did brim with energy that we have come to expect from White’s live show these days. Replay the performance below.
