Sco-Mule is having a grand ol’ time thus far as John Scofield and Gov’t Mule team up once again for a collaborative tour that is currently two shows old. On opening night in Seattle, the two dug into several standouts including Tower of Power’s “What is Hip?” and welcomed out special guest John Popper in the encore for a “Soulshine” segment that included “Tupelo Honey” in the middle. All in all, a pretty successful opening night.

Sco and Warren Haynes sat down with Relix for the first installment of our Relix Conversation. The two dished on that fateful night in 1999 and their musical histories including wonderful stories about the likes of Miles Davis, Gregg Allman, Phil Lesh and many more.
