Foo Fighters were on television once again, this time joining up with 60 Minutes‘ Anderson Cooper for a behind-the-scenes look at their new album and television series, Sonic Highways. Cooper joined Grohl and the Foos in New Orleans where they recorded their song “In the Clear” and interviewed the likes of Trombone Shorty and Cyril Neville for the accompanying HBO series that airs on Fridays.

Among the highlights from the band’s visit to New Orleans was their surprise show at the famed Preservation Hall with members of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band along with Trombone Shorty. Cooper also breaks the news that the band is already preparing a new album as well as a world tour in support of Sonic Highways.

Sonic Highways is due out November 10. The band has already released two songs from the record including “Something From Nothing” and the Bad Brains-assisted “The Feast and the Famine.” Check out a recap from the first episode of Sonic Highways centered around Chicago.
