Watch: Dave Grohl Joins Members of Pearl Jam, Blind Melon and More for Neil Young Cover

Before taking to his new motorized throne at Foo Fighters’ July 4th gig at Washington, DC’s RFK Stadium, Dave Grohl propped his broken leg up on a metal chair and rocked out to Neil Young’s “Cinnamon Girl” alongside original Pearl Jam drummer Dave Krusen, Jonny Kaplan, fellow Foo Fighter Rami Jaffee and Blind Melon’s Chris Thorn. A video of the Neil Young cover has surfaced below, and Grohl also stayed around for a take on the Rolling Stones’ “Bitch,” according to Alternative Nation.

The event was a Rally & Ride motorcycle event organized by the Foo Fighters frontman and took place at 9:30 in the morning featuring a full breakfast along with a rock show with Grohl fronting the band. Coincidentally enough, Krusen, Jaffee and Kaplan are all members of a Rolling Stones cover band named after the Sticky Fingers cut.

After the gig, Grohl took to his rock and roll throne (which he says he designed while on oxycontin in the hospital following surgery on his leg) for a 20th anniversary blowout alongside opening acts Trombone Shorty, Gary Clark Jr., LL Cool J, Joan Jett, Buddy Guy and Trouble Funk. Watch “Cinnamon Girl” below.
