Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann sat down with Huffington Post Live along with author Benjy Eisen to talk about his new memoir, Deal, which traces the drummer’s life in the Grateful Dead and beyond. In the 20-minute interview, Kreutzmann admits he is “still living” many of the stories he wrote about. “I can’t quit, you know what I mean? You can’t stop something that’s so much fun,” he says.

When asked if Kreutzmann is living sober in Hawaii, he says “far from it” but it’s also balanced by a “healthy life.” There are also plenty of juicy stories about drugs and late nights and all of that stuff you love to read about in memoirs. Check out the interview below.
