Watch: Artists Pay Tribute to the Grateful Dead at Relix

June 26, 2015

Tomorrow in Santa Clara, the surviving core members of the Grateful Dead will reunite with Trey Anastasio, Jeff Chimenti and Bruce Hornsby to kick off the Grateful Dead’s 50th anniversary celebration. To celebrate in our own way, here is a selection of videos from past Relix in-office sessions featuring Grateful Dead-related covers. Performances range from Cabinet’s stellar take on “Black Peter” to the late Bobby Womack taking on “It’s All Over Now,” a tune the Dead previously covered. Bill Kreutzmann also appears with his 7 Walkers project, delivering “Death Don’t Have No Mercy” along with other performances.
