Video: Tool Take on King Crimson

The dream lasted all of twelve hours, as the confirmation that the new Tool album was 100% done was debunked today by frontman Maynard James Keenan via an Instagram post. After the confirmation from guitarist Adam Jones ignited the internet last night, Tool fans held their collective breath that official confirmation would come from the band’s camp. Unfortunately, only a rejection came today. The frontman remarked on Instagram that the album being complete is a “complete joke” and that the project “isn’t even close to done.”

At least they’re working on it, sort of. Okay, at least they’re thinking about it.

However, to ease the pain that is no Tool album in 2014, here is a destructive 24-minute clip from the band’s show in Spokane, WA last night that kicks off with a cover of King Crimson’s beloved drum duet “B’Boom.” Also check out “Jambi,” “Forty Six & Two” and “Ænema.”
