Video: Tool Returns For First U.S. Tour in Two Years

Rob Slater on March 5, 2014

Tool played their first U.S. show in nearly two years last night, kicking off their west coast tour in Spokane, WA. The ten-song, two hour performance relied heavily on material from the band’s nearly 25 year career, including “Schism,” “Forty Six & Two,” “Ænema” and the show-closing “Stinkfist.” No new material was debuted, although the band is rumored to be working on a fifth studio album.

As you will see in the videos below of the show opening “Hooker with a Penis” and “Stinkfist,” the band is relying heavily on production, overloading the senses with intense projection screens, lights and lasers. Tool’s tour continues tomorrow night in Portland with additional shows scheduled in San Francisco, Las Vegas, Houston as well as two nights in Mexico.
