The Roots moved from their position as house band on The Tonight Show to musical guest to perform “Never” from their new album …And Then You Shoot Your Cousin. Alongside the Metropolis Ensemble and DJ A-Trak, the band delivered a spooky performance of the sample-heavy track.

Recently, the legendary Roots crew has been experimenting with their new record, playing a show at the Public Theatre in New York that included a visual artist as well as a full orchestra. While the band has no plans to tour, they will hold their Roots Picnic on May 31 in Philadelphia and will also appear at the BET Experience, Essence Music Festival and Boston Calling with Nas.
