Nearly 30 years after they were banned from Saturday Night Live after tearing up dressing rooms at 30 Rock and appearing drunk on stage, The Replacements made their triumphant return to the Lorne Michaels kingdom last night as the band performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The quartet fired off a ripping version of their own “Alex Chilton.” Watch the replay below.
Tonight Show music booker Jonathan Cohen also posted a picture of the band hanging out with The Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards. The guitarist was a guest on the show to discuss his new children’s book co-written with his daughter, Theodora, who also drew all the art in the book.
