Video: Ryan Adams Explains “Head Shops” to Zane Lowe, Plays Acoustic Songs

Ryan Adams explaining the concept of Head Shops to BBC 1’s Zane Lowe is a moment our Founding Fathers would’ve loved. “It’s a place where, if you listen to the Grateful Dead, you might want to go and buy something made of glass,” the guitarist explained. That was just one of the highlights from Adams’ 30-minute session with the radio host.

Adams and his band The Shining also performed some music along the way, delivering never-before-heard acoustic takes on “Gimme Something Good,” “Trouble” and the more standardly-acoustic “My Wrecking Ball,” the latter of which also recently received it’s very own video. You can listen to the sessions and watch the new video below.
