Video Premiere: Tyler Lyle “Werewolf”

November 21, 2013

Tyler Lyle’s debut release, The Golden Age & The Silver Girl, was hailed as one of 2012’s Top 10 albums by NPR’s World Cafe. The indie-folk artist has followed up that album with a five song EP. Today we premiere the video for “Werewolf” from the new recording.

Here is what Tyler Lyle has to say about the video: “Dan Monick (the director) is a well known photographer in LA, and in our initial meeting I liked the initial pitch of the video as being a stationary shot- a single frame of reference. I thought of the video as a moving photo, and when we shot it, that’s exactly what it became. The sky is so massive out in the desert and you feel its energy change throughout the day. We filmed all day in the heat. The cast was so amazing- such good people. The thing I’ll take away from the shoot was how much fun we had. It was the most sustained fun I’ve had since I’ve been an adult, and I think that comes across in the video. It was a very honest way to make a music video.”
