Video Premiere: The White Buffalo “The Getaway”

The White Buffalo’s latest release is the concept album Shadows, Greys, and Evil Ways, which shares the account of Joey White, “who falls in love, goes to war and returns to find his life in a downward spiral.” We recently reviewed the record praising songwriter Jake Smith, “who has crafted another moving portrait of today’s uncertain and rocky American Dream.” Today we premiere a new video from the album for “The Getaway.” Smith explains, “We wanted to get a very cinematic video with longer, picturesque shots. We purposely did not focus on the faces of the characters in the video, because we didn’t want to define who Joe and Jolene are or what they look like.”
