On Tuesday, Sol Driven Train will release their 12th album, DANCE! on their own Sol Driven Train Records. The Charleston, SC-based group produced the record along with Jeff Hodges at Charleston Sound. Today we premiere the video for “Crazy Dancer” from the new full-legth. The group’s Joel Timmons explains, “We shot this with the help of the local roller derby team at the roller skating rink across from my house. We all suffered a few bangs and bruises, but it was totally worth it. A big thanks to Dave Keller, Hot Wheels Roller Skating Rink, The Lowcountry High Rollers, and N8 Audio for the help. We encourages folk to be themselves and celebrate the weird in their life.” Russ Clarke describes it as “a snapshot of the greatest day of my life,” while Wes Powers adds, “It was hard to skate with a drum and even harder to drum in skates.”

Sol Driven Train will be in Austin this week for SXSW, with a variety of area gigs lined-up over the coming days.
