Video Premiere: Blues Traveler, Dirty Heads & Rome Ramirez “Castaway”

August 28, 2015

Blues Traveler’s latest album, Blow Up The Moon, finds the group collaborating with a range of artists (click here to read our feature on the record). Today we premiere the official lyric video for “Castaway,” which pairs the band with Dirty Heads and Rome Ramirez. The Dirty Heads’ Jared Watson recalls, “It was a really laid back session. It felt very comfortable. All the dudes made us feel at home and we got along really well, so it made it easier for the creative process to flow.  The coolest part for me was being able to put our twist on Blues Traveler’s recognizable sound. There were a lot of components (aka bad ass musicians ) to each band that we got to use to get the songs we did. Absolutely Honored they thought of us.” Blues Traveler adds, “They were awesome to work with and it was the reggae song that we always wanted to do. By far it was the most collaborative in the way that we all sat in a room together and kept throwing out lines that quickly became a song. There was instant chemistry from everyone. It was definitely a super-band between us, the Dirty Heads and Rome.” Blues Traveler is currently on tour in support of Blow Up The Moon, which is available via iTunes and Amazon.
