Battlehooch’s blend of pop and psychedelia can be heard throughout their 2014 EP Wink. Today we premiere the video for “Fountaineer” from Wink. The band tells Relix the origins of the song : “Once upon a time we were hanging out in Norman, Oklahoma (home of the Flaming Lips!) killing time before a show we were playing. We came upon a fountain and our drummer Ryan Huber decided to take off all his clothes and swim in the fountain. As we were chuckling about such shenanigans, a question floated into my head: “What do you call someone who makes fountains?” This lead to creation of our song “Fountaineer,” which is about a fountain maker envisioning the “ultimate fountain” in his dreams…”
