Video: Metallica Debuts “The Lords of Summer”

Metallica kicked off their “Metallica By Request” tour last night in Bogota, Columbia and offered fans a glimpse into the near future of the band with their first new song since 2008’s Death Magnetic. The song, entitled “The Lords of Summer,” was one of seventeen songs chosen by ticket holders out of a pool of 140.
As far as the new album is concerned, Lars Ulrich told Rolling Stone, “Unless there’s what’s called an ‘Act of God,’ I would hedge my bets that ‘201’ would be the first three digits in the release year.” Thanks, Lars.
